Poetry and leadership? Yes, please!
Poetry inspires us to step outside our comfort zone, out of the day-to-day linear productivity mindset of goals and achievements, and into the liminal space of possibility.
What is beneath the surface of my awareness? poetry asks.
How do I find connection when I feel disconnected? poetry asks.
How do I tap into my personal power when I feel powerless? poetry asks.
What else is possible? poetry asks.
As leaders, we must ask ourselves the same questions.
Because leading isn’t about getting things done, checking tasks off the list, or being “in charge.” Leading is the deeper, poetic dance of how we cultivate our inner world so that it aligns with the outer world in which we want to live.
That’s why I write poetry. It’s my way of connecting to that inner world of knowledge that doesn’t come from a class or a book or a mentor. It comes from within.
And this is also why I offer my annual Bliss Cards.
This year’s beautiful graphic represents the rising of feminine leadership – women who are doing the work and leading the change. On the back is an original poem from my Daily Bliss collection.
Each card invites you to go deeper and call in a new way of inspiring both your personal and leadership journey.
Open to a new path, inspire a friend, and support a small business. Keep one, share one, let it guide you into 2022.
