Bridges

We search our whole lives for the answers
That will make an easy way
Yet they still allude us
For easy is not the path
The harder we run from struggle
The more it finds us
In the dark, pleading for a moment’s rest

Instead of seeking to outrun struggle
Perhaps we can seek out the bridges,
The people and situations brought here
For us to find our way?
